Nominate Your Outstanding 4-H Volunteer for Co-Alliance's We’ve Got Your Back Program
Co-Alliance Cooperative invites 4-H members and families to nominate 4-H leaders, extension agents, project mentors or barn superintendents as a “We’ve Got Your Back” nominee for their impact and efforts in organizing, teaching and encouraging youth. That nominated community member will then win the ultimate survival pack to ensure they have a successful county fair.
Current 4-H members, 4-H alumni and families can complete an online form and submit a brief video nominating their 4-H mentor. Nominees must still be actively involved in the 4-H organization. Co-Alliance recognizes the tireless work these individuals put into making county fair season a success and wants to recognize and reward their efforts.
The nomination form and instructions can be found by clicking here. The contest will run all throughout the county fair season while supplies last.
Co-Alliance has run the “We’ve Got Your Back” program for more than a decade throughout their territory, providing free backtags and stall cards to 4-H showmen. This has alleviated some of the expense county extension offices face when organizing a county fair.
The Ultimate Survival Pack will include a Co-Alliance branded backpack, water bottle, and back tag keychain.
We’ve Got Your Back is part of Co-Alliance's cooperative-wide initiative to support agriculture education and leadership. Co-Alliance gives back financially to 4-H and FFA programs, supports the youth by purchasing livestock at 4-H auctions, and supports ag education and leadership programs throughout their trade territory in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. They also provide backtags and stall cards for county fairs and the Indiana State Fair along with sponsoring the Celebration of Champions event in September.
In 2023 Co-Alliance is supporting youth who exhibit swine through the 4-H organization by sponsoring swine shows throughout Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan counties. This coincides with the cooperative’s growing swine and animal nutrition business.
