Co-Alliance Partners for $10,000 Tipton FFA Greenhouse Donation

From Jefferson to Wildcat, and Madison to Prairie, the rural townships of Tipton County, Indiana is sprawling with changing colors as the corn and soybeans reach harvest. The transition of color reminds us of change and the immense value in watching things grow.
 
Co-Alliance recognizes such value year-around, so when we were approached by Friends of Tipton FFA about supporting their greenhouse project aspirations, we knew that it was an ideal fit for our community support initiatives.
 
Co-Alliance was able to double our contribution to the organization through the Land O'Lakes Foundation Member Co-op Match Program, which also contributed $5,000, making the total contribution on our behalf $10,000.
 
The Tipton FFA greenhouse will be equipped to support Tipton Community School Corporation agricultural studies and a strong FFA program which currently involves over 215 students at the middle and high school. The greenhouse will be used by FFA students to grow flowers, plants and vegetables through soil growth and hydroponics.
 
“The learning experiences in this greenhouse will provide an introduction to the many crop and plant-based careers available within a driving distance of Tipton. It is our hope that this is just the beginning of synergies that will occur between local employers and their next generation of talented employees,” said Jeff Rodibaugh, President, Friends of Tipton FFA, Inc.

We are excited about this partnership, but even more so for the educational opportunities that lie ahead for the students in Tipton County. We look forward to watching the progress and growth of this greenhouse directly in the heart of one of our hometowns.
