Moulders Win Indiana Pork Contract Grower of the Year

Feb 06, 2025

At Keystone Cooperative, we highly value partnering with farm families who are committed to agriculture, their communities, and the next generation. Which is why we are thrilled to congratulate the Moulder Family on winning the 2024 Indiana Pork Contract Grower of the Year!

For more than 40 years, Tom and Jamie Moulder have built their farm in Tipton County, creating a strong foundation for the next generation. Tom’s journey in farming began early—he rented his first piece of ground at just 14 years old. Over time, his passion and hard work grew into an opportunity for his sons, Colton, Corbin, and Cowen, to return to the family farm.

In 2016, Colton and Corbin built their first contract finishing barns, taking on the responsibility of raising pigs and managing daily operations. Just a few years later, in 2019, the family expanded again, and Cowen became Keystone’s youngest contract grower, continuing the family’s legacy of hard work and excellence.

The Moulders take great pride in the care they provide for their pigs and the maintenance of their facilities. Their attention to detail and dedication to best practices set them apart as leaders in the industry. Beyond their own operation, they are always willing to share their experience with others, helping new and prospective growers navigate the opportunities in contract finishing.

Farming isn’t the only place where the Moulders make an impact. Tom has served on county advisory boards, driven a school bus for years, and continues to be a dedicated supporter of local 4-H programs. Whether it’s purchasing livestock at the county fair or mentoring young farmers, the Moulder family is deeply committed to their community.

The Moulders’ story is a perfect example of how contract finishing can provide an opportunity for farm families to expand their operations and bring the next generation back to the farm. Keystone Cooperative considers it an honor to support hardworking families like the Moulders and provide opportunities for other farmers looking to diversify their operations.

We are excited to celebrate Tom, Jamie, Colton, Corbin, and Cowen Moulder for their well-earned award. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for farming make them outstanding representatives of the swine industry as well as agriculture in the state of Indiana.
